Vernons Carpets & Interiors is a local Skegness based business located at Berry Way, Skegness, Lincolnshire, PE25 3QS. Vernons do a lot of local carpeting and flooring work in the Lincolnshire region-Skegness, Boston, Louth, Lincoln, Mablethorpe, Alford, Gainsborough, Grimsby etc…
As of Feb 22nd 2025 this is just a starter review, I’ll be adding more images, videos, and how Vernons deal with the problem (see below).
I recently had a problem with a contractor Vernons hired to resurface the dirt road that fronts onto Vernons warehouse located at the rear of my property on Wainfleet Road, Skegness.
The contractor with his JCB trespassed and damaged my property. He also pushed a lot of rubble/dirt from the dirt road onto the back of my property-see above image, that’s how the Vernons contractor planned to leave the property!
At first the Vernons contractor refused to acknowledge the damage caused, so I videoed him and the mess he’d made at which point he agreed to at least tidy the mess. I’m now left with a damaged shed (which admittedly was already damaged) and a large pile of rubble/dirt that had been mostly dragged from the dirt road, dumped at the bottom of my property.
Interestingly the contractor Vernons Carpets and Interiors hired to do the work refused to provide his name and business details-required for a potential court action in the small claims court.
I’ve contacted Vernons Carpets and one of their employees came around within minutes to take photos of the damage-he agreed the mess wasn’t acceptable. I was told by said employee that James Vernon (the owner) would be in contact soon. I’m waiting on that contact to see how they plan to rectify the problem-update soon.
I’ve always found you can truly judge the quality of a business in how they fix their mistakes. And this makes for a perfect opportunity to review a local Skegness business.
