At this stage I don’t know specifically what is slowing down the Astra theme homepage, it could be the Astra theme or it could be features added via various WordPress plugins.

Webmasters tend not to install a WordPress theme and nothing else, they install multiple WordPress plugins and if they aren’t careful it can wreck a websites performance/speed.
